Beads of Clay Spring Open Studio

It is almost time…
At 1pm EST the live event will begin!
Visit the Beads-of-Clay Blog to see the two lists of Static Posts and Live Posts

This collection of Artist-Made ceramic clay beads is the giveaway for one commenter on the main Beads-of-Clay Blog Live Post.

You just have to comment about this event on that post, and you will be entered to win.
Then check out all the posts - both Static and Live - and comment on the artist specified giveaway posts to have a chance at winning even more beads.

Shop the artists Etsy Shops and Websites as well for handmade clay beads (very possibly on sale as well)…

See you back here on my blog at 1pm for the start of the Live posts!

Oh, and for some reason, when I woke up this morning I thought about another giveaway to run for this event here on my blog for my Marsha Neal Studio Etsy Shop:
I'm going to be giving away 3 - $25 gift certificates for my Marsha Neal Studio Etsy shop.
For every item you buy between now and midnight tonight, you will get a chance (1 item =1 chance, 4 items = 4 chances, etc) to win that gift certificate. Winners will be emailed on Monday morning.
All clay pieces are currently marked at 20% off.
If you are one of my FaceBook fans, there is an additional coupon code over on my FB page that you can use on your order for an additional 10% off (hmmm - all these extras…)

Have fun shopping!!!

Purchased mophie juice pack air

  • My iPhone 4 recently seems to drain the battery faster than ever. Most probably due to my high usage of Internet applications such as Whatsapp, Twitter, FB and Foursquare. In fact recently, when Whatsapp introduced its Group Chat, the traffic just increase tremendously.
  • Thus, I decide to buy an extra battery pack - its either Mophie Juice Pack Air or the Exolife. However, after watching the videos regarding both batteries, I decided to buy the Juice Pack.
  • First, I went to Machines in KLCC but it is out of stock even though one of my Twitter friends said they have in stock... :-(
  • However, I finally purchased it at Mac Studio in Low Yat Plaza. The price is RM 318. But they only have either White or Red color. I was trying to get the black one but finally decided to get the White one (since Apple did not launch its White iPhone 4)...

  • But later I realized the problem of getting the right iPhone 4 case for this. Due to its length, I cannot find any that suits it perfectly.

Monotangle and Geometric Shapes...

The Monotangle.
Here is my Zentangle drawing entry:
Marsha Neal Studio "Monotangle" Challenge Entry.
I started with the four corner dots, lines, then lines back and forth to create a simple string.
Then opened up Totally Tangled and somewhat randomly picked this design to run with…

Click over to Laura's blog to see more about these challenges (you can participate too!)

And from one of our weekly assignments over at the Drawing Lab 2011 Online Course
(it's a paid class - but worth it! Lots of techniques are taught & it's not full of pressure!)

I also really like the way that this drawing came out:
It makes me giggle a bit with delight…

It was inspired by this photo I snapped with my iPhone:
The hair on this boy cracks me up!
It needs a trim, but wants to go in every direction.
With straight hair - that's funny!

I love looking at photos that I am constantly taking of my little ones for inspiration for these drawing lab classes…

I feel complete right now in this moment.
It will change soon I am sure…
As soon as I look over my to do list sitting here…
Sitting right on my peripheral right side - staring at me…
I can feel it reaching out to me...
I'm ignoring it for the moment...

Off to get a cup of tea for some warmth.
Steal a few goldfish crackers from the container.
Then pop back down here into the studio to look at that darn list.

I hope to see you all here on Sunday for the Open Studio Event!
1-4pm EST Live
Giveaways…
Also - a 20% off sale for my Etsy shop.

Details Sunday (maybe Saturday or even later today if I get to it)

iPad 3 in 2011?

  • For some who felt that the latest iPad 2 doesn’t give them a big reason to jump and thought that most probably Apple will release iPad 3, you are going to get a big disappointment. Steve Jobs have declared that 2011 will the “The Year of iPad 2”.
  • Furthermore, Apple released the first Gen iPad in April 3, 2010. A normal Apple product cycle is always between 1-2 years. We might see iPad 3 in 2012... Let’s see..
